Do the products you use meet CLP regulations?
On June 1st 2015 CLP Regulation replaced CHIP as the chemical classification system.
What does CLP stand for?
It actually is a shortened version of ‘European Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 on classification, labelling and packaging of substances and mixtures’.
It is important that the products you use in your place of work are CLP compliant. If you are an employer then you have a duty of care to your employees to make sure the products used in their workplace are safe and meet CLP standards.
This regulation is enforced by the Health and Safety Executive and Trading Standards.
